Rural Doesn't Necessarily Mean No Access
What do you think of when you see the word "rural"? It's kind of an odd word. You mostly think living in the country, country life and country people right? When trying to explain what the word rural meant to my mom who was born and raised in Japan, I gave up trying to have her pronounce the word right after the third try. It was rather entertaining though.
I'm sure you've driven past those little towns with very few people and wonder how they stay connected to the world since they're so far away from civilization it seems. Well believe it or not, they may just have an Internet connection that's faster than yours. In remote areas like small towns or villages, satellite Internet makes it possible for them to have that endless information at their fingertips just like someone who lives in the city or in suburban life.
And you thought you'd be stuck with no link to the worldwide Web if you were out in the middle of nowhere. Think again.
