I Tweet, Therefore I Am
Social networking is no longer just for tweens! High-ranking government officials are now tweeting daily thoughts and rants, including Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley. Twittering about the likes of Al Gore and his quasi-green lifestyle and President Obama's lackadaisical stint in Paris, Grassley unloads his existential angst in short-form for more than 11,000 'followers.' What do I mean by short-form? If you aren't familiar with Twitter, only 140 characters are permitted for each 'tweet.' Thus, statements must be brief and often abbreviated.
It seems like everyone has jumped on the social networking train, with millions of people around the world utilizing this resource at any given moment. Satellite Internet technology ensures that everyone, even individuals in remote areas, have high-speed Web access. No matter where you live, you can tweet to your heart's content!
Get a Twitter account, and enjoy thought-provoking statements like "Pres Obama while u sightseeing in Paris u said 'time to delivr on healthcare' When you are a 'hammer' u think evrything is NAIL I'm no NAIL" from U.S. Senators!
