Fiber Optics, Dial-Up Or Satellite?
Okay so you've looked into the many different options of Internet connections that there are out there, but you're still not sure what to go for. You want to have the most reliable, fast, and affordable Internet access there is. Have you also thought about whether or not you're going to need to have access in places that don't get such a great connection such as a rural or remote area? Do you do business that requires you to be overseas? These are definitely questions that need to be answered before deciding on that final Internet service provider.
Now there are some really good, strong connections when you it comes to fiber optics and cable. They have made several advances to make it more reliable and accessible to more people. Now having said that, there is still a lack of the cable connections in rural areas, so there is not a whole lot of rural high-speed Internet available if you're trying to look into a cable connection. Companies just don't have or want to put for the funding it would take to place the hard-wire cable they'd need to provide high-speed Internet connections in rural and remote areas.
Dial-up is trying to progress and become more competitive with cable connections, but I believe they still have a long way to go. Not many people go for the dial-up connections anymore. Like the cable connections, there just really aren't a whole lot of phone wires that run through remote areas.
In order to have high-speed Internet access anywhere you are at all times, you have the option of a satellite Internet connection. This is a reliable AND fast connection that is always-on. You don't have to worry about logging on or dialing up in order to surf the Web. Some people call it the "rural Internet". But it really goes further than that. If you're on a ship in the middle of the ocean or on a secluded island in a different country, you can still have the fast connection with satellite Internet, espeically with reliable quality providers like Hughes Net. You can even take it with you with a portable satellite Internet system as well. Your downloads will be done in minutes, and you can stay in contact with your loved ones and business colleagues even in the pandemonium of a disaster.
So depending on what you're looking for and what you need, this will decipher what kind of connection you choose. But any way you look at it, Internet via satellite sounds like the best option for a great, dependable connection to the Web.
